Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar w/ Carry Bag
Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar w/ Carry Bag

When I was a kid I was stuck with my Knight Rider metal lunch box which held a horrible sandwich that usually got stuffed into the thermos for laughs. When I think back on the lunches I was forced to eat because the lunch box could only keep it edible for so long I just want to gag. Next I moved onto the brown paper bag, which does nothing but keep it crushed together. Isn't it time for a properly insulated lunch box that looks cool and can hold a real meal. Now everyone from kids to working adults to anyone in between can rejoice, because I have found the ultimate lunch box, er lunch jar.

Check out the cool Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar ($42). Now we can all have a complete meal, hot or cold, in 4 microwaveable bowls that stack easily in one stylish stainless steel vacuum insulated jar. Peanut butter and jelly is so 20th Century...

  • Includes convenient carrying bag for transport
  • Round jar with 4 food bowls for hot or cold lunch storage
  • Vacuum-insulated stainless-steel construction keeps food warm
  • Microwaveable bowls measure 15.2, 10.1, 9.5, and 6.8 ounces

I had the Knight Rider lunch box too. Do they even make lunch boxes anymore?

sure they still have lunchboxes. They are cheap, sold at Wal-Mart, and break easily.

I had Pac-Man, Star Wars, and I think I had an Airwolf. It was sort of a status symbol for a kid.

I loved my lunchbox as a kid. Good old metal construction, not plastic like today. I had the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom lunch box. Then at recess we would swing from the swings like it was whip swinging across a chasm. Fun Fun Fun.

I was introduced to the Bento stacking boxes by a parent who bought them for her child. They are great! It is easy to find his snack, then his lunch, all packed in stacked containers, that go easily back into his lunchbox - it is vinyl now, and Nemo - but the containers are great for a teacher who is getting snacks and lunches for 9 - 10 students at a time!
