Robby The Robot - Genuine 7-Foot Life-Size Replica

Robby the Robot, star of the the 1956 science fiction classic, Forbidden Planet, is one of the most famous robots in existence. The good news is that you can now own a Genuine Robby the Robot that is a life-size, 7-foot, fully animatronic, remote-controlled replica. The bad news is that it's a staggering $49,999.95!!!

I'd still rather have the Lost in Space Robot, but if you remember, Robby the Robot actually made a cameo appearance in Season 1 of Lost in Space in the episode War of the Robots!

Who's your favorite robot of all time? C-3P0? R2-D2? ED-209? QRIO? Asimo? Johnny 5? Let us know in the Comments below and how much would you pay to bring one home with you? The beyond cool factor of being able to have one in your home theater, almost makes it worth it. Almost.

If I recall correctly in the Lost in Space appearance he played the part of a “robotoid”, i.e. more advanced than a robot.

Wooow! As wonderful as expensive. Producers would understand on short the commercial advantage of developing an affordable \"brother\" of it! ...And to set it up with a whole programmable functionality, as the Lego\' Mindstorm.

We\'ll wait for it meanwhile!!

For the price these people are asking for these robots, they should be able to extend their arms and produce "lightening" and laser beams just as the real ones did!

My favorite robot was: V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from The Black Hole. I always thought he was pretty cool. I liked B.O.B. too although he looked like a hammered garbage can. :-)
