Looks like Mork got an upgrade. The Oculas is a new multi-sensory, multi-purpose, & multi-tainment isolation pod where you can go to work, play, relax, sleep, hide or get your Darth Vader helmet changed (maybe not). Would you pay $45,000, for a luxury pod with the latest technology, comfort and audio-visual wizardry? I don't know about you, but I would love to have one of these and simply escape away immersed in the experience of my favorite movie, video game or song with no one able to bother me. It's like the bathroom, but with more to do! Let us know what you think in the Comments!

Just stumbled across this blog about the Oculas, interesting seeing all your thoughts and ideas - the photo's shown are the old version which was pretty basic but it was used to perfect the interior ergonomics. It is now slightly bigger with a lot more technology built in, the photo shown with me in it was from 2004 and was just the test shell with hardly any technology or interior trim etc.

If anyone is interested you can see more info about it in a couple of weeks when we launch the new website - www.theoculas.com. Thanks for all your comments, all good feedback to hopefully create a better product.

$45,000??? I could get a cardboard box for free.....

What a load of rubbish! 10 years too late. What about social gaming, the Nintendo Wii? This 'gadget' is for very sad individuals who have no friends.
And for $45k!!!!!!! You must be joking. You make a box for £45k that fits in a games console worth $500. That is just wrong. Go and do something better with your money.....

I think if the price was cut about 30 thosandcharter it would be a bigger hit!!!!!!!!
And I\\\'m not just saying 'cause I can\\\'t afford that hit one-of-a-kind object!

I wish I was wealthy enough to pay the price of a luxury car for a really nice chair.

I have a few things to say . !. Yeah it's expensvive but worth it . It has surround sound , Adjustable lights and climate And you can fit any gaming console in it

That thing is sweet! I totally want one. But I do agree that it would be cooler if it were a sphere. I could get away and watch my favorite movie without anyone bothering me.

Its cool but its but much money maybe I will get a lone from my brother Bill Gates,so I will probobly get it if I don,t get a lambergani. And I agree it would be cooler with more room.
